February 23rd 2012 Virtuoso music for
Winds and Piano
  Marios Argiros,  oboe,
  Ursula Leveaux, bassoon, and
  Caroline Clemmow, piano
 

play dramatic and atmospheric trios by Poulenc, Lalliet and Francaix; the impressive Saint Saens bassoon sonata; and the world premiere of Jennifer Fowler's “Reeling” for oboe and piano, commissioned by the Music in the Village audience!

March 22nd 2012 Fitzwilliam String Quartet

  celebrate Delius’ 150th anniversary with a performance of his quartet and music by his friends, Percy Grainger and Edvard Grieg.
May 10th 2012 Leçons de Tenebrae
  Grace Davidson, soprano, and
  Natalie Clifton Griffith, soprano
  sing the  Leçons de Tenebrae ("readings under darkness") by Francois Couperin -  a sequence of three vocal lamentations for Holy Week, composed in 1714.
